Our Collection

Patrons using our library have access to the entire collection of more than 61,000 items, including
adult and juvenile books, DVDs, music, newspapers, magazines, audio books, computer software &
more! We have online databases for research and word processing & spreadsheets on PC's
available to the public. We also have free Internet access!

Special Collections:

The Lyons Library recently started a collection of Spanish language materials for young people.

For those researching family histories, the Lyons Library has a substantial collection of genealogy materials covering the United States and Europe with a special emphasis on Central and Eastern Europe.

Internet Access:

Internet access is available to Lyons Public Library cardholders. Cardholders wishing to use the Internet must sign an Internet Use Agreement. Cardholders under the age of eighteen must have a parent or guardian sign the Agreement. At this time, the Library does not filter the Internet computers.

A Lyons Library staff member will assist students younger than eighteen who do not have Internet access but require the Internet to complete homework or research assignments.

Internet access is free to Lyons residents. Printing from the Internet is available for a fee.
