Circulation

 Library Cards:

The Lyons Public Library issues library cards to residents of Lyons provided the resident is
free of outstanding fines and/or fees within the Metropolitan Library System. Lyons Public Library
cards are good at over seventy-five libraries within the Metropolitan Library System.

Patrons must present a library card each time one wishes to check out library materials.

Should a resident's library card be lost or stolen, it is the cardholder's responsibility to notify
the Lyons Library immediately.

To obtain a new Lyons Public Library card:

1. Bring one piece of picture identification (driver's license or state ID) and a current utility bill
to the library. Both items must show your Lyons address.
2. Complete a registration card.

The Lyons Library will issue a Juvenile library card to any person 18 or younger and able to write
his or her own name. A parent or guardian must sign the juvenile's application, thus accepting
financial responsibility for all borrowed materials. Legal guardians must provide proof of guardianship.

To renew a library card, bring in your current card and the documentation listed above.
To replace a lost card, bring in the documentation listed above and a $3.00 replacement fee.
