Read library books, magazines or listen to audio books and for each
title checked out and
recorded on a club log, earn a raffle ticket. Place the raffle ticket in the
bowl for one of five genre
gift baskets. Baskets, on display in the library, will contain a book, DVD,
music and other gift items.
Historic
Route 66
Wednesday, July 16 at 7 pm
From 1927 to 1977, Route 66, the most famous highway in the world,
stretched from Chicago to
Los Angeles. By the 1950's, Route 66 was the most popular cross-country
route for touring
America by car. David Clark will explain the road's origin, why it started
in Chicago
and the factors in the road's demise.
Big Band Era
Music with Mary Kalfas
Wednesday, August 13 at 7 pm
Lyons singing sensation Mary Kalfas will sing songs from the Big Band
Era. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Concert will be outside weather
permitting, indoors in inclement weather.

Instructions in "surfing the 'Net" will be offered the third Monday of
each month at 7 pm.

Instruction in setting up and using an e-mail account will be offered
every Wednesday evening.

Instruction in the use of the library catalog will be offered every
Tuesday evening from 7-8 pm.
