Secrets of Selling on e-Bay
Wednesday, February 8 at 7 PM

  Vivienne Porter of C3 Solutions returns to teach the basics of selling on e-Bay, including how to
establish a seller’s account, tips for photographing your items, and what to include in an item description.


Vietnam  Wednesday, February 22 at 7 PM

  An historical presentation of uniforms, weapons and equipment used during the Vietnam
Conflict by Lyons resident John Borland.


Creole Music  Wednesday, March 7 at 7 PM

  Join us and Dennis Stroughmatt as he takes us through a narrated concert of Creole fiddle
 music from the Illinois-Missouri country.


Amusement Parks of Yesteryear  Saturday, March 24 at 1 PM

  Eddie Kwiatkowski will take us back to the days of small amusement parks in our area.
Go down memory lane to Kiddieland, Playland and other parks from long ago.


Comiskey Park’s Last World Series  Wednesday, April 11 at 6:30 PM

  Join Charles Billington as he takes us into the 1959 World Series, as well as the legal and
business history of the 1950s baseball industry.


Norwegian Coastal Voyage  Wednesday, April 25 at 7 PM

  Sonia Lawrentz will take us on a coastal tour of Norway. Visit small coastal villages, historic
wharf homes and the Sami people and their reindeer.


On the Job: Stories from the CPD  Wednesday, May 9 at 7 PM

  Author Daniel P. Smith will guide us into the closed-door society that is the Chicago Police Dept.
Never-before-told stories of the tolls the job takes on the officers and their families.


My Picasa  Wednesday, May 23 at 7 PM

  Digital photo editing with Picasa, offered by Google. Learn to transfer, edit, rotate, and crop
your photos and then make movie files of your prints.
